2015 Mar 16

Hear the captivating sounds of the entire flute family from piccolo to alto and bass flutes, as the Arioso Flute Choir, under the direction of Dr. Paula Nelson, presents a concert of light classical music. The 12-member Arioso Flute Choir will perform the Overture from Semiramide by Rossini, Farandole from L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2 by Bizet, Sonata Pian' e Forte by Gabrieli, and How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place from A German Requiem by Brahms. Featured small ensembles will play Handel's Trio Sonata in F Major, Haydn's London Trio #3, Schocker's Flutes in the Garden, and the Rondo from Kuhlau's Grand Quartet in E Minor.

Emily Mountain, a junior music therapy major of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, is one of the twelve members of the Arioso Flute Choir.
